How we use AI

Every reply from a Pal is written by an AI language model. A Pal is not a person, and it says so if you ask.

What the model is told

Each message goes to the model together with the Pal's instructions (its role, tone and safeguards), your recent messages in that chat, your first name, and anything you have asked the Pal to remember. Nothing else about you is sent.

What it is not

• It is not a doctor, vet, lawyer or financial adviser. The Pals for those subjects say so and send urgent matters to a professional.
• It can be wrong or make something up. Check anything important.

Who sees your chats

You do. Admins do not read chats. If you report an answer, an admin reads that single answer. Chats are not used to train a model by us.

Your control

You can switch off suggestions, pause memory, delete a chat or all your data at any time: see your data and privacy, and our trust and safety page.
